About the Author
Joy Drinkwater was born in England. Her mother was an actress, and she was the illegitimate daughter of Edward VIII, later the Duke of Windsor. She is a widow with two sons and two grandchildren. She has been an actress, Red Cross nurse, legal secretary, teacher, librarian, and writer. Her other works include An Act of Suttee, Maisie, and her autobiography Life's A Joy. Maisie was also converted to a two-act comedy. She currently resides in Auburn, AL.
