Danny leads me on a tour. I have a lovely kitchen, huge bedroom and a darling living room. A fireplace in every room. A TV that only gets five channels, but I do have the Internet. I wander around, amazed that I can stay here. Lahinch is on the coast and from my window I can see a dock that juts out into the ocean. Tomorrow I'm going to sit on that dock and write music. Today I'm going to unpack, settle in and decide what to see. I thank Danny and send him on his way home.
The morning sunrise is so beautiful. It is cold, but very little wind, so I brave the chill, wraping myself in a wool blanket and walk down to the dock. With my hands wraped around my coffee mug I watch the ocean waves crash on the rocks down the beach. Peacefull is the only word that comes to mind as I look out over the water. If I can't write a song here, I won't do it anywhere.
I watch some fishing boats head out. Down the beach, I spot a distant runner. I don't jog, but if I did this would be where I would want to. I know that I'm staring at him but something about him catches my attention. He is tall. overly long raven black hair sticking out from under his hoodie. He shadowboxes his way down the beach, bringing a smile to my lips. When he jogs close enough, I can see violet-blue eyes and lips that should be kissed often. He nods to me as he passes by and I nod back. Along with the scenery and music of Ireland, the eye-candy ain't bad either.
