About the Book
This is a book about a young Polish man named Paul Bradzneci who finds a way to confound Kaiser Wilhelm II and escape from Europe in the turbulent days before World War One, 'The War to End All Wars.' After settling in the American West he finds it necessary to return to Europe and fight alongside all the other American Doughboys on the plains of Western Europe. Returning to Denver, he finds the life he always wanted-a life found only in America.
About the Author
Richard Braden and his wife Patricia first set foot in Colorado in the middle 1960s. They were in the military then, and found themselves packing regularly to go to the far-flung corners of the earth. Such is not the case today. Now there is time to reflect on the words of the old folks as they described the good times and the bad times in their lives. The old photographs remain, but the words are gone now. My Only regret is that I did not write this story forty years ago when I could have shown it to the old folks and asked for their approval. It's too late now.
