About the Author

Dr. Michael V. Mulligan founded Manage My Career NFP to help Millennials chart the right career path, maximize their education and plan and manage a successful career journey. In 1983, he started and still directs Mulligan and Associates, Inc, a career management consulting firm, that has helped over 10,000 dismissed employees with separation trauma, career planning and finding employment. He wrote six books and developed 20 assessments to help individuals with career decision making, finding employment and advancing one’s career. Dr. Mulligan wrote an article titled “How to be an effective career consultant” and it has been the guide for the career management industry. For 20 years he served as a Fellow Manager with the Institute of Career Certification International who certified people in the career consulting field.

Dr. Mulligan received his Ph.D. in counseling from the University of Georgia, M.A. in counseling from Michigan State and B.A. in History from Alma College. He worked as Management Development Director for Century 21 of Northern Illinois, Midwest Regional Director for The American College Testing Program, Director of Orientation and Asst. Director of Admissions at the University of Georgia, Asst. Dean of Students at Georgia Tech and Academic Advisor at Michigan State.
