About the Author

Dr. Mulligan obtained his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from The University of Georgia, M.A. in counseling from Michigan State University and B.A. in History from Alma College. He has authored and developed four books to support his Young Adult Career Launching Model. This book, My High School, College and Post College Plans includes the Route 555 Career Management Model, which helps young adults develop and execute yearly plans in high school, college and after college. These plans help students and college graduates maximize their education and place themselves on the right career path before age 30. The second book, Helping Your Children Launch a Successful Career before Age 30, was written to transform parents into effective career/life coaches so they can help their children be successful. The third book, MOVING OUT AND MOVING UP is a five phase career transitioning model that helps individuals move successfully from one company to another. The fourth book, Sharpening Your Human and Helping Relationship Skills helps individuals increase their personal power and capability to bring out the best in others. Dr. Mulligan has been directing Mulligan and Associates Inc., a career management consulting firm, since 1983. The firm has helped 8,000 individuals find employment. He has personally counseled and coached over 2,000 company leaders. This list includes 100 CEO’s & Presidents, 500 Chief Level Officers and 1,400 partners, division heads, vice presidents, and managers from all industries plus 200 college students. Dr. Mulligan directed The Management Development Academy of Century 21 helping 500 owners develop business plans to grow their people and company. He served as Midwest Regional Director of The American College Testing Program, Assistant Director of Admissions and Director of Orientation at the University of Georgia and worked in the Georgia Tech Counseling Center and as an Academic Advisor at Michigan State University. Recently, he founded the Young Professional Career Launching Center to help young adults 15 to 35 place themselves on the right career path and find new positions that will advance them in their chosen career field.
