About the Author
Dayton Lummis has been hanging in the wind for a great deal of his life. He feels like his long ago New York City relatives who had booked a return passage to England on the Titanic in 1912. In his professional life he’s been a Director of several cultural history museums and the caretaker of a lonely desert ranch. He was present at The Red Dog Saloon in Virginia City, Nevada, on the night that Rolling Stone called “The Birth of the Sixties,” the night the San Francisco rock group, The Charlatans, played undanceable music, high on Owsley’s LSD. Or so it was said. The night some guy tried to ride a horse into the saloon. He was there, and he remembers…
