Memphis found himself six feet away from a woman about twenty-five, a near six-footer in two-inch heels. She had short, shiny chestnut-brown hair parted on the right side with a wide hank covering most of her left eye, and a distinctive widow’s peak. Her clear, wide-set eyes were hazel, her symmetrical, heart-shaped face set in a neutral expression. Her complexion was pure peaches and cream, her lips full and inviting. She was wearing a forest-green linen pantsuit without a wrinkle on it, and a leather purse slung over her shoulder. Half-carat diamond studs in her ears were her only jewelry. There were no rings on her fingers; her nails were short and painted pale pink, a personal effort, not professional. Memphis extended his hand towards his guest chair. “Please. Have a seat Miss …?” “Thank you,” she said as she seated herself smoothly and crossed her legs. “And it’s Ms.” “Super. Ms.?” “Adams. Cameo Adams.” Memphis arched an eyebrow. “Lovely name. So, what can I do for you Ms. Adams?” She fixed her eyes directly on his. “I’d like you to find a missing person.” Memphis nodded. “We do that. Who’s this missing person?” “Me,” she said evenly without blinking or elaborating.

As a writer and world traveler she uses her global adventures to incorporate exciting ideas into her complex plots and characters.
