SECURING OUR BORDERS:
The most pressing policy that is facing the United States is securing our borders. Until we complete the security there will continue to be about 1 million illegals that are entering the United States every year. How can this country support all these people on our welfare and entitlement systems? The problem with these illegals is that they tend to be less educated and are taking thousands of construction jobs from our citizens. In addition, they end up in drug gangs and create violence where ever they end up. It is not unusual for them to have multiple families living in a small house. They are creating a drain on our state and local governments as well as the federal government. I believe we need to erect the border fence and build a highway running the length of the fence to enable our border patrol agents to monitor the illegals that are trying to enter the United States. What are the feelings of the American citizens?
BORDER POLICIES:
I do not know about the rest of American citizens but I do not want to put any threat into perspective. I want to know that my children and their children are going to be able to live in a safe and beautiful America. I hope that is what every American would like to see develop. I do not want the United States to develop into a third world country like some parts of the United States already have. Take back America. It is not too late if we work together. Get involved while you can before it is too late. "God Bless America"
There is only one flag that should be flown in the United States of America and that is the American Flag. Every American should be very proud to fly this flag and respect what it stands for. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States should be recited every day by our schools to teach the values of our country and to be grateful for the freedoms that the United States provides. There is no other country so beautiful in the entire world. Be proud of America
THE NEWS YEARS JOKE OF THE YEAR for 2011….
You have to be kidding. The following was reported by the Associated Press on January 1, 2011. The United States will send more American experts to train the Afghan police and customs officials to better manage their porous border crossings.
Janet Napolitano says sending experts from the United States to train other countries on how to secure their borders. That is really something. Janet Napolitano does not have a clue about securing the borders. Look at the mess that the Department of Homeland Security has made of securing the southern borders of the United States. We do not have any border security so why would anyone want advice from the people that do not know what they are talking about? Get real and secure our own borders and let the Afghan's take care of their own borders. According to the Department of Homeland Security all you have to do is post a sign that it is dangerous in the area and the job will be done.
Napolitano said the United States would help Afghanistan with equipment and capacity building for the country's customs operations and with the training of border police. Why doesn't the Department of Homeland Security implement the policy of spending more money and equipment to defending the southern border of the United States of America?
For the past year, Napolitano's department has been working with the Afghan government to establish a border security and customs system and crack down on the smuggling of drugs and cash. Last year was by far the deadliest for foreign troops in the decade-old war, with 702 killed, eclipsing the 2009 record of 504? The Department of Homeland Security should compare the total losses in combat in Afghanistan to the losses in one city just across the border from El Paso, Texas where there were 3,111 people killed in 2010 alone. Where are the real risks? This is just across the river from the United States.
The government needs to accept the facts and initiate immediate action to deploy our troops to the border and protect the United States.
Mexican city across the border from El Paso, Texas had 3,111 murders in 2010. It is getting real close to the United States and needs to be stopped. We need to secure our borders now before it is too late.
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – The embattled border city of Ciudad Juarez had its bloodiest year ever with 3,111 people killed in drug violence, an official said Saturday.
The city across from El Paso, Texas, has seen its homicide rate soar to one of the highest in the world since vicious turf battles broke out between gangs representing the Juarez and Sinaloa cartels in 2008.
That year, 1,587 people were killed in drug violence, and the toll increased to 2,643 in 2009.
Ciudad Juarez's bloodiest month last year was October, when 359 people were killed, said Arturo Sandoval, a spokesman for prosecutors in Chihuahua state where the city is located.
More than 30,000 people have been killed in drug violence nationwide since President Felipe Calderon launched an offensive against the cartels after taking office in December 2006.
Our government can not see the forest for the trees. The United States spends about $5.9 billion annually at the southern border; which by the way, is less than California and Texas spend combined just feeding and providing medical care to illegals immigrants annually. Securing the border would cost far less than the states and the federal governments spend on caring for illegals.
What about the illegals coming into the United States from the Canadian border? Not too likely that the illegals will fly or boat into Canada and cross the border. And, if you are concerned about Muslim terrorists, that we all should be, crossing the border for them is too much work. They easily fly right on into the United States every week on student and humanitarian visas. Look at how many Somalis have emigrated to Minnesota and register for government benefits and silently go about their business.
These types of activities are coming to cities in the United States as the violence continues to go without being stopped. We could very easily send our troops to defend our southern border. Why are we wasting billions of dollars trying to defend the borders of Afghanistan? The President has already stated the withdrawal date to leave Afghanistan. That bothers me since I was taught that if we entered a war it was to win at all costs. We have been in Afghanistan for about 10 years and then all of the sudden under President Obama we are packing it in and leaving. Why haven't our troops been given the authority to utilize our military strength and win this war? The United States does not need to be a police action military. When we enter a war it is to win. Nothing else will do.
What is the underlying reason that our government will not defend our borders? Is it because the party in power does not want to alienate the Hispanic voters? We need to start thinking about every American instead of a select block of voters. What ever happened to legislation and enforcement that will secure all the Americans? How many of the million illegals that enter the United States every year through the southern borders are terrorists? That is a question that our Department of Homeland Security will not answer. The United States should admit that we have been invaded and have not done anything to stop the invasion. The only difference is that this invasion was not accomplished with military troops. What difference is there in people trying to take over parts of our country and change the way of life in that part. It is not the American way. Have our troops defend our borders and stop this insult to all Americans.
